It is important to be informed that VietTESOL International Convention Proceedings only invites the manuscripts whose presentation versions are presented in the VietTESOL International Convention. The manuscript submissions must be original and can be of either research-based articles or practice-based articles. The specific guidelines for these two types of manuscripts are included below.
Guidelines for Research-Based Articles
- Length: Between 4,000 and 6,000 words (10 -14 pages approximately), excluding tables, figures, references, and appendices.
- Abstract: Between 150-250 words.
- Keywords: Between 2 and 4 key words, separated by commas, placed after abstract, all normal cases except the acronyms and proper nouns.
- Structure: The manuscripts should, but are not limited to, include these sections: Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Findings/ Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References, and Appendices if applicable.
Guidelines for Practice-Based Articles
Practice-based articles can be one of the two categories, namely General Pedagogical Initiative and Teaching with Technology. The General Pedagogical Initiative articles offer detailed procedures for effective classroom activities, while the Teaching with Technology articles showcase effective technology-based lessons.
- Length: Between 2500 and 3500 words (8-10 pages approximately), excluding tables, figures, references, and appendices.
- Abstract: Between 150-250 words.
- Keywords: Between 2 and 4 key words, separated by commas, placed after abstract, all normal cases except the acronyms and proper nouns.
- Structure: The manuscripts should, but are not limited to, include these sections: Introduction, Key Definition(s) and/or Concept(s), Activity or Tool Use Procedures, Discussion and/or Reflection, Conclusion, References, and Appendices if applicable.
There is no fee for submitting the manuscript to The Proceedings, but it charges a publication fee of 2,000,000 VND or 100 USD per paper. Once the review process is completed, and the manuscript is accepted for publication, the publication fee needs to be received by The Proceedings for the accepted articles to be published. The publication fee is for The Proceedings to cover the review administration and management, professional production of articles in PDF, the paper-based production of The Proceedings, and other publication associated costs.
